Create a Second Life Account

During the last 3 weeks we were doing a step-by-step game in Second life as one of the class assignments. I liked the way Quests were designed, from the first step (making the Second life account) to change our avatar, learning how to move, fly , and how to control our view of the avatar and the whole scene.
I founded it interesting, however it moved slowly and tended to react slower when I was connecting through wifi.

I would like to present some step-by-step photos here for my friends who may like to begin using second life in future.
Simply begin by going to the second life website on : http://secondlife.com/ and begin the sign up process.

The first step is to chose your Avatar. As you see in the picture there is variety of avatars for you to select at the top of the page. Click on people, animal, vampire, random, vehicle and watch them appear. Select the one you like the most. Don't worry, you will be able to change and customize it later.
Chose your avatar by clicking on it.

Type your username. Remember that you have only one name, and no family name; therefore, type the name that you like or a name that is some how representative of your personality or interest. and check the availability and continue.

Complete the information and your e-mail address carefully. Click the Create Account button.

Now you can select whether you want to continue with free account or you want to purchase the perimum account.For the premium account you get your private home and access to exclusive areas, many people just keep the free account. For the teachers it will be nice to have their premium avatar and a home land in which they can make changes and design it for their class meetings.If you just want to explore and learn the free version is enough for now.

Here is the last step where it suggests you to install the Second Life program on your laptop/PC and begin.

After you have installed Second Life, click on the SL icon and begin your trip:

Here is a video worth watching, however the new version of second life program has changed a little bit  but it's good to become familiar with some words and keys and how they work.
